Collin College Awards Guaranteed Maximum Price Contract For Technical Campus Construction
Collin College recently awarded a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contract to McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. for the construction of the new Collin College Technical Campus using the construction-manager-at-risk delivery method. The contract was officially approved at the Board of Trustees meeting held on June 26.
Collin College Board Approves Architects For Phase 2 Of Master Plan Construction Projects
The Collin College Board of Trustees, on June 26, approved the selection of architecture firms for four major upcoming projects. The college will engage the services of Beck Architecture, LLC for design of the Celina Campus and the Farmersville Campus. Perkins+Will, Inc. has been selected to design an IT Center of Excellence at the Frisco Campus. PGAL, Inc. will design a new public safety headquarters at the McKinney Campus. The firms were approved by unanimous vote of the Board.
MIT Bound: Collin College Student Heads To Cambridge
Tiwalayo Aina has dreamed of attending Richard Feynman’s alma mater since he was eight years old. This fall he will travel to Cambridge, Massachusetts to follow in the footsteps of the famous physicist and walk the hallowed halls of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
