In addition, Collin College's Honors Institute is part of a national network of honors programs.
Our McKinney, Frisco, and Plano campuses all have Honors Institute offices where you can meet with the Campus Director, request scantrons, use the computer lab, and take advantage of our free printing. Please feel free to contact your campus director (info to your left) if you have any questions.
Collin College honors students have many opportunities to get involved with clubs and honor societies on campus. Please make an OrgSync account at orgsync.com and then you will be able to see all of the clubs on campus. Transferring to a four-year college or university can be a competition, and more so for honors students. Joining and participating in clubs and honor societies can go a long way toward making your applications stand out. Most importantly, you have a chance to give back to our campus and our community.
There are several on-campus honors organizations to choose from, including:
The National Society of Collegiate Scholars is an Honor Society which offers qualified students opportunities for internships, networking, and scholarships. Membership is by invitation and students must have a 3.4 GPA or higher to be invited. The NSCS conducts an induction ceremony once a year. To find out more, go to the national web site:
