HUMA 1301 Introduction to Humanities I
This stand-alone course is an interdisciplinary survey of cultures focusing on the
philosophical and aesthetic factors in human values with an emphasis on the historical
development of the individual and society and the need to create. Additionally, this
course provides a broad overview of cultural traditions and the variety of aesthetic
and intellectual works through which they express their values and aspirations. Prerequisite:
Meet TSI college-readiness standard for Reading and Writing; or equivalent. 3 credit
hours. (A)
HUMA 1302 Introduction to Humanities II
This stand-alone course is an interdisciplinary survey of cultures focusing on the
philosophical and aesthetic factors in human values with an emphasis on the historical
development of the individual and society and the need to create. Additionally, this
course specifically pursues a concentrated exploration of particular cultural traditions
or persistent cultural concepts or practices through critical engagement with selected
aesthetic and intellectual works. Prerequisite: Meet TSI college-readiness standard
for Reading and Writing, or equivalent. 3 credit hours. (A)
HUMA 2323 World Cultures
This course is a general study of diverse world cultures. Topics include cultural
practices, social structures, religions, arts, and languages. Prerequisite: Meet TSI
college-readiness standard for Reading and Writing, or equivalent. 3 credit hours.
