Student Leadership Academy
Student Leadership Academy (SLA) is a rigorous semester-long leadership experience unique to Collin College. The course is designed to encourage leadership, integrity, professional development, scholarship and service. The curriculum fosters skills through lecture, guest speakers, student facilitation and team projects. The students earn three credit hours upon completion. Weekend College provides the opportunity to complete the entire core curriculum for the Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) and Associate of Science (AS) degrees on Friday evenings, Saturday mornings, Saturday afternoons, Sunday afternoons or any combination thereof without interrupting the work week. Courses are offered in express (eight-week courses or three-weekend courses) and standard sixteen-week formats.
