The award-winning and acclaimed men’s basketball and tennis program strive for excellence on and off the courts.

Excellence is achieved through success in the classroom, engagement in the community and good sportsmanship on the court.

Sporting the colors blue and white, the Cougars compete in the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference.

In 2010, the men’s tennis team was co-champions of the National Junior College Athletic Association national title.  Head Coach Marty Berryman was named the NJCAA Division I Coach of the year in 2010, and the NJCAA Division II Coach of the Year eight times. He was also recognized as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s Men’s Coach of the Year in 1994, 1996, 2006 and 2009. In May 2001, Berryman was inducted into the NJCAA Men’s and Women’s Tennis Hall of Fame. There have been 44 NJCAA Men’s All-Americans in tennis.

Head Coach Jim Sigona has made the men’s basketball program at Collin College one of the most competitive two-year basketball programs in the nation, making 13 Region V playoff appearances in the last 16 seasons. During that time he has averaged 20 wins per season. Since 2000-01 the team has achieved four conference championships, and he has four “Coach of the Year” awards.
