Society for Women Engineers
The purpose of the Society for Women Engineers is to stimulate women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrate the value of diversity.


Membership is open to all who meet the membership eligibility criteria, regardless of race, creed, color, gender, age, national origin, or sexual orientation.

Section 1 - Credit hour and GPA Requirements
Each candidate for membership must be enrolled in at minimum of 6 (six) credit hours
    each fall and spring semester, and must maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point

Section 2 - Employment Requirement
Candidates must not be full-time employed in an engineering firm or position (except
    educational assignments such as internships or co-ops) or in field related to engineering.

Section 3 - Enrollment in a Designated Academic Program
    Membership is offered to individuals pursuing an undergraduate course of study towards
    an associate or baccalaureate degree in engineering, engineering technology, or a field
    related to engineering.
