Course Description
Advanced Watercolor I - Learn how to create compositions using abstract material and photos.  By using the elements and principles of design you will have a stronger foundation in watercolor.  We will continue to explore each students creativity, and encourage individuality by using different paper, colors, ideas, and techniques.

Advanced Watercolor II - The focus will be to explore and develop the individual style of the student using the basic elements and principles of design.  Students are free to explore their own creativity with the guidance of the instructor.  Collage, ink along with watercolor will be explored.  Students will learn how to begin a painting in new ways and how to critique their own work.
Course Objectives
Advanced Watercolor I -
1. Find different ways to begin a painting
2. Understand the importance of the temperature as it relates to painting
3. Continue to improve control of the medium
4. Be able to critique and correct a painting
5. Explore different textures
6. Work with color schemes, complement colors, analogous and triads
7. Paint with positive and negative shapes

Advanced Watercolor II -
1. Develop your individual style using basic elements and principles learned in Watercolor I
2. Explore your own creativity with instructor guidance
3. Discover collage and ink genre
4. Learn to critique your work
