Course Description
Collin College Continuing Education is preparing professional Bookkeepers to become Certified Bookkeepers through the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB). By successfully passing tests, signing the code of ethics and demonstrating two years experience in bookkeeping, you will have met the high national standard in advanced bookkeeping. Once certified, you will be able to proudly list this certification on your resume and business communications.
Certification Requirements
1. Experience: At least 2 years of full-time experience (3,000 hours) or part-time or freelance equivalent, which may be obtained before or after passing the examination.

2. Examination: Candidates must pass a 4-part national examination. 2 exams occur in the classroom and 2 exams occur at a Prometric Text Center in the Metroplex.

3. Code of Ethics:  Applicants must sign the Code of Ethics.
