Course Description
Emphasis on painting of the human head based on the study of the human model. Designed for classical step-by-step methodology. Theoretical part of the curriculum is focused on composition, proportions, and color theory. Learn basic oil medium materials and techniques. Instructor will provide hands on help.
Course Objectives
In this class students will learn the proportions, study the elements of the anatomy, learn the "Alla Prima" technique, develop features, study the "Sfumato" technique and practice completing and balancing with the help of transparent oil glazing.

Students will also have the opportunity to work with live models in the class.
