Course Description

This course prepares you for:

  • FAA Commercial Pilot written exam and
  • Satisfies the knowledge requirements for the commercial license.
Learn complex systems, and provide a thorough review of aircraft performance, weight and balance calculations, the FARs, airspace, and weather. After satisfactory completion of the course, you can sit for the FAA written exam. Tuition does not include the FAA exam fee.

Collin College Continuing Education is introducing a new Aviation Program course, Commercial Ground School for individuals interested in a commercial pilot career. This 32 hour course prepares students for the FAA Commercial Pilot written exam, and satisfies the knowledge requirements for the commerical license. Topics cover complex systems, aircraft performance, weight and balance calculations, the FARs, airspace and weather. After satisfactory completion of the nine-week course, students are eligible to take the FAA written exam.
