This 32-hour course will teach students to explain the ethical obligations of healthcare professionals, identify and discuss ethical issues in healthcare, apply local, state, and federal standards and regulations for the control and use of health information, demonstrate appropriate health information disclosure practices, and understand the process and key features of HIPAA regulation and its impact on the healthcare professional.
