Course Description
Introduction to common planning, operating, and controlling production of goods and services. Decision-making, project management, facility layout in both manufacturing and service industries, waiting lines, quality control, just-in-time systems, forecasting, aggregate planning, inventory management, materials requirements planning (MRP), and operations scheduling.
Course Objectives
1. Examine systems theory, project design, and strategic decision-making in a teaming environment.
2. Explore real-life design problems. Provide focus for improvement initiatives.
3. Evaluate process objectives using SMART chararacteristics.
