Kimberly has taught as an adjunct professor at the University of North Texas, SMU and University of Texas at Dallas. In 2004, Kimberly became a professor of music at Collin College where she teaches music literature, music appreciation and a learning community that combines physics and music. Her motto “students today, patrons tomorrow” keeps her active in finding new teaching approaches that connect the “voices of the past” to the college students of today. As the Coordinator of the New Faculty Academy, Kimberly collaborates with executive leadership, deans, staff, students and other faculty to foster academic excellence and collegiality. She is also an experienced choir director. She continues to perform regularly and is a Performance Prelude Presenter for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Kimberly enjoys traveling. Her extensive travels have taken her to every continent except Antarctica. Along with staying active in her field, she stays busy as a wife and the mother of two boys ages fourteen and seventeen.
