North Texas Drama Auditions

Thank you for your interest in the North Texas Drama Auditions. The deadline for STUDENT REGISTRATION was Monday, October 7th and all openings are currently full. In the event of cancellations, those who missed the deadline will be contacted in the order in which their request was received.

Dear Drama Instructor,

The information below is for registering your students to participate.

Please accept our invitation for your top graduating/ transfer eligible students to showcase their skills at the 26th Annual North Texas Drama Auditions. The auditions will be held on the Plano Campus of Collin College on Thursday, November 21, 2019. This event will serve to introduce your best graduating students to representatives from many of the top colleges and universities in the nation.

Invitations have recently been sent to College and University theatre programs across the country. We expect between 80-100 colleges and universities to attend, representing states reaching from California to New York.

1.     Instructors submit the names of 5 acting and/or 5 technical/design students and pay the $15.00 registration fee for each student by October 7, 2019. This can be done online or by mail.

2.     Once the submission has been acknowledged, instructors will be sent a one-page resume form which each student must complete. (This is the only resume that will presented by Collin College to the college/university representatives).

Actors and Actor/Singers will each be given 1½ minutes to perform their selections. Timing begins after their introduction. Tech/Design students will be auditioned in a “Walk Around/Display” setting from approximately 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM on Thursday November 21, 2018.  Callbacks/interviews will be posted during the lunch break and after the afternoon session. The callbacks/interviews will be held in the Collin Conference Center beginning approximately thirty minutes after the conclusion of the auditions.

The submission deadline is October 7, 2019.  A complete schedule of audition times will be emailed to you by Friday October 25, 2019. There will be NO standby auditions. We do not accept submissions directly from students or parents.
