Since 1988, the Foundation has raised more than $8.4 million in private contributions and distributed more than $2.6 million in scholarships to thousands of Collin College students. For Fall 2012, Collin College Foundation awarded 384 scholarships totaling more than $337,000 in funding that has been provided through the General Scholarship Fund, donor established Annual Named Scholarships, and through Permanent Endowments.
The Foundation provides student scholarships and supports Collin College's mission of a student and community-centered institution committed to developing skills, strengthening character and challenging the intellect. As a fiscally and legally independent organization, Collin College Foundation is governed by 35 community leaders who volunteer generously of their time, talent, and resources by serving as a member of Collin College Foundation Board of Directors.
Collin College Foundation provides an avenue to support excellence in education at
Collin College. The Foundation is a separate, not-for-profit, IRS approved 501(c)(3)
corporation established in 1987 to provide financially for the educational needs of
Collin College that cannot be met through state aid or student tuition income.
