Endowments & Gift Planning
Hallmark of Opportunities, Creating a Legacy Naming Opportunities Campaign will be the major tool for building the Collin College Foundation endowment.  The goal is to triple the size of the endowment by 2015. This will be accomplished through a substantial infusion of gifts and through the effective management of the endowment principal to generate earnings through investments.

Endowments provide a reliable source of financial support that will help create the margin of excellence Collin College needs to realize its vision, attract and retain high quality faculty, and support talented students.

Investing in endowed funds via facility, faculty chair and scholarship naming opportunities supports all of us as residents through the careers students pursue.  It ensures the vitality of programs and provides Collin College with planned resources upon which to build for the future.

If you value the education that Collin College provides and would like to help secure its future, consider planning a gift to benefit the Foundation now, or in the future through a deferred gift.

Collin College Foundation offers many unique endowment opportunities.  A multi-year pledge – of cash, equities, or real estate- over a period of two to five years can enable you to make a larger overall gift.  Other ways to give to Collin College Foundation include bequests, annuities, trusts, retirement accounts and life insurance.

If you wish for your gift to remain anonymous, we will respect your privacy.  However, allowing us to recognize your gift may encourage others to give.

Donor Responsibility

Planning a major gift to an institution is a personal decision.  Collin College Foundation recommends you consult with independent advisers regarding the best way to structure your gift.

Laws related to estates, charitable contributions and taxes are subject to change by federal and/or state legislation.  A professional adviser will know the tax and legal regulations that can impact your gift.

Collin College Foundation provides policies and procedures on receipt of gifts as guidance to donors and their advisers when planning their gift.
