HI-TECC TRANSFER  Scholarship


Endowed by Texas Instruments, five scholarships will be offered to Collin College students who have come through the Plano ISD school system and intend on transferring to UT Dallas to pursue studies in science, technology, engineering and/or mathematics.


The scholarship applications are reviewed, offered, awarded and paid by UTD, not the Collin College Foundation. The award amount ranges from $1,250 and up. 

Application Requirements 


 

  • Student will attend and is eligible to apply for admission at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD)
  • Must be majoring in a STEM (Sciences, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)
  • Minimum cumulative 3.3 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • One letter of recommendation from a Collin College faculty
  • Student must have completed Associates degree at Collin College at time of UTD admission
  • Student who graduated from a Plano ISD high school
 

LEBRECHT HITES FAMILY TRANSFER Scholarship


Offered to two students who will be transferring to one of our partner institutions: Austin College, Baylor, Dallas Baptist, SMU, Texas A&M Commerce, Texas Tech, TWU, Texas Wesleyan, UTD or UNT.  The Selection committee is looking for someone who has demonstrated continued involvement in their community and school.

If awarded, recipient must maintain at least a 2.75 GPA the first semester at the transfer institution and 3.0 or better subsequent semesters. Scholarship is payable over 4 semesters in equal amounts of $2,500 each. Recipient may have an opportunity to speak at Collin College Foundation's scholarship reception in September.

Application Requirements 


 

  • Student will have completed 50+ hours at Collin College
  • Minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • One letter of recommendation from a Collin College faculty
  • Student is member of the honors program or has taken honors courses
