New Student Orientation Registration

All on-campus Orientation dates have been cancelled through September 1.

Orientation gets you prepared to be successful at Collin College!

As a Freshman or a First Time In College student, attending orientation is one of the steps you need to complete before you register for courses.  There is no charge for students to complete Orientation.

Freshman or a First Time In College students are required to attend either the an in-person session or complete online orientation prior to registering for courses.  Which one of the two is best for you?

IN-PERSON ORIENTATION
  • Advance registration is required to attend.  Orientation is not a come-and-go event.  Students who are late to Orientation will not receive credit for the Orientation and will have to register for a different Orientation session. Walk-ins to Orientation are accepted as time and space allows.
  • At the end of Orientation students have the opportunity to view a virtual campus tour.

  • All in-person orientations have occurred, so you will need to complete online orientation option.

ONLINE ORIENTATION

  • In addition to online orientation, Collin College also offers Online Group Advising.  Attending an Online Group Advising session does not fulfill your orientation requirement.  Click here for online advising information.  Scroll to the bottom of the advising page and click on the online advising link. 
  • If you are unable to attend one of our on in-person orientations, you can complete the online orientation module.  Click here and you will be prompted to log-in to CougarWeb.  Under the Student tab, click "Mandatory Training and Hold Information" and click "Mandatory Orientation Online."

Extended Orientation: C.A.T. Camp (Cougars Achieve Together)
If you have completed Orientation, take the next step to prepare you for your educational journey at Collin College with C.A.T. Camp (Cougars Achieve Together). This FREE session will provide you some in-depth resources, tips and tricks from current students, connections to campus, and help you feel a part of the Collin College Community. This event is for new students at Collin College who have already completed or participated in new student orientation!
