Welcome to The Consumer Health Information Center
at Central Park Campus Library, Collin College
Although the library at Central Park Campus has been a source of health information for our community for many years, this service has now been expanded and made more readily available to the community. In these days of managed healthcare, it is important for the consumer to participate in the medical decisions that impact their well being. They need to have access to reliable and current information in order to make informed choices. At Collin College, the Central Park Campus Library supports the Allied Health Science Programs with a wide array of materials. We want to provide the community with the opportunity to utilize the medical and health related resources in their search for health information.
The Consumer Health Information Center offers both laypeople and medical professionals a wide range of health and medical information on a variety of topics. The Center is conveniently located at the college's Central Park Campus Library, 2200 West University Drive in McKinney. The Center provides up-to-date and reliable medical and healthcare-related data through a number of different resources including books, videos, audio recordings, brochures, medical journals, archived and current magazines, and electronic resources. Reference librarians are on hand to provide assistance to visitors seeking information on a bevy of subjects.
We at the Consumer Health Information Center, Central Park Campus Library, look forward to helping the community with their informational needs.
