Welcome!

New and Incoming Students

Applied Lessons and Ensemble Auditions for Fall 2010 will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2010. Attend the mandatory orientation beginning at 10 a.m.

Commercial Music Majors - There will be a mandatory orientation on Monday, August 16 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Spring Creek Conference Center. We will go over degree requirements and important changes/additions to the program.

Are you interested in becoming a music major? If so, the first step is to
download and look over the advising documents below. The next step is to meet with the Fine Arts Advisor, John Ciccia. Set up an appointment by contacting him at jciccia@collin.edu.

At that point meet with Dr. Christopher Morgan, the Department Chair, to answer any additional questions about which classes to take. The most important part of the initial advising process is determining whether you are a traditional "transfer" AA student or an AAS Commercial Music major. If you are an AA student, then you'll audition on your instrument/voice and meet with your applied instructor before classes begin. All auditions for applied lessons and ensembles are held on the Tuesday before classes begin.

To contact Dr. Christopher Morgan, please e-mail him at cmorgan@collin.edu to set up an appointment.
