Tom "Bones" Malone To Perform At Collin College

July 8, 2016 – Collin College will host trombonist Tom “Bones” Malone and members of the Metroplexity Big Band one night only, 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 20 at the John Anthony Theatre on Collin College’s Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway. The concert is free and open to the public.

Malone is a 30-year veteran of Late Night with David Letterman and Late Show with David Letterman. He was part of the original Saturday Night Live band and played in both of The Blues Brothers movies as part of that iconic band. He has also performed with jazz notables such as the great Gil Evans, Woody Herman, Louis Bellson, Frank Zappa and Blood, Sweat & Tears.

Malone is the featured musician for this year’s Texas All-Star Jazz Camp, which Collin College is hosting Monday-Friday, July 18-22. For more information about the camp, please contact Kris Berg at .

The camp will provide a closing concert featuring the camp faculty and all of the student bands at 6:30 p.m., Friday, July 22 in the John Anthony Theatre.
