Former CCCCD Student Publishes Play

April 27, 2001 -- In March, Jason Stuart, former Quad C Theatre student and playwright, was published for the first time with his play Through A Glass Onion. Stuart received the award for Best Student Written script at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival in Tyler last year.

As one of seven regional winners, his play was published in the Kennedy Center's annual anthology of Best Student One-Acts, Volume 6, edited by Laura Friesen. The text was published by Dramatic Publishing of Woodstock, Illinois.

Through A Glass Onion was first performed in summer 1999 by the Quad C Theatre in an evening of one-act plays. It is the story of David, a highly intelligent, compassionate, yet volatile young man whose love for his family is matched only by his anger and frustration with them.

A copy of the anthology is available in the library at Spring Creek Campus, and can be purchased online at Amazon.com.
