CCCCD Executive Vice President Appointed To Regional Board

September 20, 2002 - Collin County Community College District's executive vice president, Dr. Toni Jenkins, has been appointed to the North Central Texas Workforce Development Board.

The Workforce Development Board is responsible for the administration of more than $30 million in employment and training funds. To help businesses and jobseekers, the North Central Texas Workforce Development Board partners with education and training institutions, private sector organizations, civic groups and other community participants.

"I'm looking forward to serving on the North Central Texas Workforce Development Board. Workforce needs and the issues facing employees are changing dramatically in North Texas, and I'm ready to begin working with the board and staff to address these challenges," said Dr. Jenkins.

CCCCD President Cary Israel looks forward to the opportunity the college has to collaborate with an organization such as the Workforce Development Board.

"It is an honor for Dr. Toni Jenkins, executive vice president, to be selected to serve on the North Central Texas Workforce Development Board. The mission of the Board is to provide a seamless, efficient and effective network of services to businesses and skilled workers. Dr. Jenkins' expertise will ensure that their mission is met through an educated, vibrant workforce," explained CCCCD president, Cary Israel.

Collin County Community College District serves more than 37,000 credit and continuing education students annually and offers more than 100 degree and certificate programs in a wide range of disciplines. In addition, the CCCCD is a partner to business, government and industry, providing customized training and work force development.
