CCCCD And DART Make Transportation Easy

OCTOBER 8, 2002 - Collin County Community College District hosts "DARTing About the Metroplex." Join us at 10:30 a.m. or 12:00 p.m., Monday, Oct. 21 in the Conference Center (F108B & D) at the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. The DART rail is coming to Plano and DART representatives will provide two free informational seminars illustrating how and where to "DART about" town.

DART is your ticket to various attractions across the D/FW Metroplex. By hopping on the rail, you can take the kids into downtown Dallas to visit the Dallas Zoo, the TI Founder's IMAX Theater at Fair Park, or to a production at the Dallas Children's Theater.

Educators can plan enlightening field trips to some of the Metroplex's renowned art museums and historical sites, including the Dallas Museum of Art, The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza or Union Station. Broaden your horizons even more and catch the Trinity Rail to Fort Worth to ride back in time to the historical Stockyards or visit the popular cultural district featuring the Bass Performance Hall and the Amon Carter Museum of Western Art.

Area newcomers can access tourist and historical attractions, shopping centers and much of what the Metroplex offers by jumping on DART 's mass transit system.

Each session is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. To reserve a seat, please R.S.V.P. by Oct. 11 to Janet Erickson at 972-516-5029.
