CCCCD Begins Wireless Class

November 1, 2002 - Collin County Community College District is accepting registration applications for its "Developing Wireless Web Applications Using the Microsoft Mobile Internet Toolkit" class. This unique course will run from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, Nov. 19 through Dec. 17 at the Harvey Hotel, 1600 North Central Expressway in Plano. This course is funded by a Telecommunications Infrastructure Fund (TIF) grant and offered free to students meeting certain requirements. All participants will receive a Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC) Notebook.

The most intriguing part of this course is the environment. In the wireless environment, participants will build applications for wireless appliances such as PDAs and Web-capable cell phones. Testing of the newly built applications will be done on I-PAC and Palms toward the end of this course.

To be eligible for this class, participants must be familiar with ASP.NET, HTML forms and tables and VB.NET or VBScript code.

Space is limited to 12 students, so register NOW! For more information about this course or to register, call Natalie Greenwell at 972-985-3753.
