CCCCD Offers "How To" Financial Aid Workshop On Feb. 6

Jan. 31, 2003 - Thinking about going or returning to college next fall? If you answered "yes," then its time to think about how you will pay for it. Mark your calendar and plan to attend a financial aid session that will guide you through the financial aid process, sponsored by Collin County Community College District.

Applying for Financial Aid: The FAFSA Process will be held from 6:30 - 8:30 on Thursday, Feb. 6, at CCCCD's Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. The session is free and open to the public. High school seniors, returning students and parents are encouraged to attend.

This session will cover timelines and tips for applying for financial aid, detail how to complete the FAFSA forms and more. Light refreshments will be served.

The college awarded nearly $5.8 million dollars in financial aid and scholarships last year. In fall 2002, due to record enrollment, the total topped $8.7 million in fall alone.
