CCCCD CE Offers Biotechnology Classes

Feb. 21, 2003 - This spring, Collin County Community College District is offering a number of biotechnology classes through its continuing education division. Previously these classes have only been available to students as credit offerings. The first core course in this series of classes, "Introduction to Emerging Opportunities in Biotechnology," begins March 4 at CCCCD's Courtyard Center in Plano.

The class covers new opportunities in biotechnology, a rapidly growing sector in north Texas. Students will be introduced to the four key components of biomedical science: fundamentals of technology transfer, principles and practice of clinical research, and concepts in technology venture development. A second course, " BioTech Grantwriting and Funding Resources," follows on April 7.

Check out these and other continuing education courses online at www.ccccd.edu. Then register online or by telephone. To register by phone, call 972-985-3711 from Plano or 972-548-6855 from McKinney.
