CCCCD Provost Tom Rodgers Named To "21 For The 21st Century" List

June 6, 2003 - Tom Rodgers, Collin County Community College District (CCCCD) provost, has been selected as one of the "21 for the 21st Century" by Inside Collin County Business. In its seventh year, the annual list salutes 21 of the top business leaders whose community service has made a significant impact on Collin County. The 2003 winners appeared in the May 14 edition of the business publication, and their stories and portraits will be exhibited throughout the county for the next year.

Rodgers has been active in the Frisco area where he was Provost of the Preston Ridge Campus until Dec. 2002 when he took over at Spring Creek. He currently is a member of the Plano's Sunrise Rotary Club and serves on the board of the Plano Balloon Festival. He recently finished a term as president of the National Council for Staff, Program and Organizational Development, and organization of staff development officers from community colleges across the country. He also served as coordinator of Leadership Frisco, president of the Frisco Rotary Club and was chairman of the board of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce.

Rodgers holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from George Peabody College for Teachers of Vanderbilt University, master's in mathematics from East Texas State University and a bachelor of science in education from the University of Texas at Austin. He has been with Collin County Community College District since 1986.
