CCCCD Offers Medical Transcription Career Opportunities

August 1, 2003 - Collin County Community College District offers a comprehensive, online medical transcription program that can place you in a job upon completion. Referred to as the Stiles Electronically Taught Transcription (SETT) Program, all of the classes are taken at home, online.

Learn more details at a free Orientation Session at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 5, in room A106 at the Courtyard Center for Economic and Professional Development, 4800 Preston Park Blvd. in Plano.

Medical transcription is a high-growth, stable-demand career area and SETT has a 100% job placement rate out of its program. MedQuist, a national transcription company, has now restricted all new transcriptionist hires to CCCCD program graduates only. "They have made this decision because they know that the students coming out of our program are well equipped to begin working for their company," stated Janet Stiles, founder and instructor of the program.

Class enrollment is available each month. For more information, visit www.ccccd.edu/ce, or call Janet Stiles at 972-889-8037 or CCCCD at 972-985-3753.
