CCCCD To Hold Rockwall Evening Classes At New Site

August 22, 2003 - Collin County Community College District announces a new location for evening classes in Rockwall County. College classes will be held August 25-December 13 in the former J.W. Williams Middle School located at 1050 Williams Street.

The facility is located just east of downtown Rockwall on Highway 66 or Williams Street. Parking will be available on the east side of the building where the entrance will be located. A site coordinator from the college will be posted at the facility to provide directions and assist faculty and students.

The college previously offered classes in a wing at Rockwall High School, but when space was no longer available, the college looked for another venue. The middle school where CCCCD will offer evening classes is currently under renovation to house Rockwall ISD administration, a professional development center for the school district and an alternative school. CCCCD's classes will temporarily be located in the alternative school, but will move into the professional development wing of the facility in the spring.

According to Dr. Toni Jenkins, CCCCD executive vice president, "The move will allow the college to provide better service and support to the students and the faculty. We also hope that with this move we can once again offer day classes in Rockwall County in the future."

Classes will run from 6:45 p.m. to 9:35 p.m. in Rockwall. Course offerings this fall include the following:

ENGL-1301.RW5, COMP/RHETORIC I, Monday
ENGL-1302.RW5, COMP/RHETORIC II, Tuesday
