CCCCD Honors Institute Hosts Faculty-Student Forum

Meghmala Tarafdar speaks on "The Immigrant Experience: A Study of Women in Contemporary Asian-American Fiction"

October 23, 2003 - Collin County Community College District's (CCCCD) Honors Institute will host a faculty - student forum featuring Dr. Meghmala Tarafdar as she speaks on, "The Immigrant Experience: A Study of Women in Contemporary Asian-American Fiction," at noon, Wednesday, Oct. 22 in room C103 at the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Pkwy. in Plano.The event is free and open to the public.

Dr. Tarafdar is a professor of English at CCCCD. Most recently, she served as panel chair for a discussion titled "Words and Images of India" and gave a presentation titled, "Images of Transition: A Cultural Study of South Asian Fiction," at the New York Conference on Asian Studies.
