CCCCD Media Services Department Wins Award

January 8, 2004 - Collin County Community College District (CCCCD) media services department won the Communicator Award of Distinction at the 2003 Communicator Awards Competition. The winning entry is an internal video titled, "The PRC Library Orientation Video."

"It is great for the college to be represented nationally and internationally, but it is especially fulfilling to receive such high honors when competing with other colleges, universities and large media affiliates. It showcases the quality of work that we put in our media productions at the college," said Vernon Hadnot, television programming and production associate. "I have received tremendous support for this video from President Israel, Sheryl Kappus, Barry Wagner, John Mullin and Terri Karlseng."

The Award of Distinction is given to projects that exceed industry standards in production and communication skills. CCCCD's entry was chosen from more than 2,800 entries submitted from 48 states, the District of Columbia and 11 countries. The Communicator Awards competition is an international awards organization recognizing outstanding work in the communications field.
