March 18, 2004 - Celebrating the importance of cultural diversity Collin County Community College District's (CCCCD) will host International Day, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Thursday, March 25 at the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. The event is sponsored by members of the International, Middle Eastern and South Asian Student Associations. The following activities are free and open to the public.

The program will begin at noon with a "Parade of Nations." Children from the Child Development Center will sing, followed by a fashion show highlighting the clothing from various countries (Latin America, India, Pakistan, Middle East, Africa) and a talent show featuring songs and dances from different parts of the world.

Cultural tables highlighting various displays from countries around the world will be available for browsing from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. You may also tour the Earth Balloon from 2 - 6 p.m. and hear about the earth's inner structure, rain forests, ecosystems, pollution and other various features of our planet.

International cuisine will be available from the food court and vendors will be selling international sweets and baked goods.
