CCCCD Honor Society Chapter Recieves Awards At Regional Conference

April 2, 2004 - Collin County Community College District's Alpha Mu Tau chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), an international honor society for two-year colleges, received several awards at the Texas Regional Convention.

The chapter won the nomination for District 2 Vice President and chose student Adele Bailey to be the representative. CCCCD's chapter will form a five-person committee to serve alongside Bailey in this capacity. Additional accolades include Outstanding Achievement in the Scholarship Hallmark, Chapter of Service Achievement Award, Five-Star Program Award and Outstanding Chapter President - Sandi Wilson.

CCCCD's Alphu Mu Tau chapter was represented by chapter advisor: Elizabeth Pannell; chapter officers: Sandi Wilson, Christina Austin, Adele Bailey, Kimberley Cooper, and Michael Kunen; and student chapter members: Mark Yeo, Shanna Large, Sydney Portilla-Diggs, Marcos Mavromaras, Kseniya Parakhina, Olga Yashina and Syed Rahim.
