CCCCD Holds Electronic Design Competition

April 16, 2004 - The Collin County Community College District Engineering Technology Division will hold its tenth annual electronic design contest from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 1 in the foyer of Heritage Hall at Preston Ridge Campus, 9700 Wade Blvd., in Frisco.

Free and open to the public, the event will include demonstrations in robotics, radio frequency antenna design, power supplies, Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD), interior and architectural design and Digital Signal Processing, featuring the Infinity Project, a DSP system developed by Southern Methodist University, Texas Instruments and Hyperception.

The electronic design contest categories include function generators, microprocessors, engineering mechanics wooden truss bridges and multi-meters.

Collin County Community College District serves more than 40,000 credit and continuing education students annually and offers more than 100 degree and certificate programs in a wide range of disciplines.
