CCCCD Hosts "Viewpoints", A Juried Art Exhibit

April 23, 2004 - The Collin County Community College District's THE ARTS gallery presents the annual community college juried student exhibition "Viewpoints," April 8 - May 15 at the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. An awards reception will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 13 at the gallery.

First, second and third place cash awards will be presented in 2D and 3D along with Director's Choice. Best of Show will be awarded with a one-person show in the gallery in 2004. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

This exhibit will feature two-dimensional and three-dimensional works from community college students across the state. The all-media show strives to encourage artistic values and recognize excellence in the creation and presentation of visual and fine art. The juror for this year's exhibit is Don Schol, professor of Sculpture and associate dean of Fine Arts, at The University of North Texas.
