CCCCD Continuing Education Department Wins Marketing Awards

April 30, 2004 - The Continuing Education Department at Collin County Community College District (CCCCD) has won two marketing awards from The Texas Administrators of Continuing Education for Community/Junior Colleges (TACE/CJC), a statewide organization dedicated to promoting continuing and workforce education.

CCCCD won first place in Student Recruitment for its unique hospital-college training partnership for echocardiogram technicians, and first place for its web-based Course Schedule & Registration system that enables students to register online.

The 2004 TACE Marketing Awards were presented during the 2004 TACE Conference on Friday, April 23.

Accepting for the college was Janet Sheppard, program director of continuing education at CCCCD.

"The award for the Echocardiogram Technician program recognized Continuing Education's market analysis on the need for echocardiogram training and the efficiencies of partnering with Medical Center of Plano to provide this training," said Sheppard. "CCCCD's Continuing Education web site for course listings is one of the few colleges in Texas that offers students the ability to register online."
