CCCCD Offers New Degrees And Certification Specializations

June 18, 2004 - New for fall 2004, Collin County Community College District (CCCCD) will offer two new degrees and several new certification specializations and marketable skills achievement awards. A marketable skills achievement award (MSA) is perfect for those who are returning to college after several years or those who just need a few courses to boost their marketability/promotability. Many students build on the MSA--using it as the foundation towards earning certificates or AAS degrees.

New MSAs for fall include computer-aided drafting and design, computer applications, database applications, Cisco systems networking (CCNA), multimedia graphics, MX studio and interactive web design.

New certificate programs include integrated circuit design and layout, applications programming, catering management, and meetings and event management.

New degrees offered include an associate of applied science degree in integrated circuit design and layout specialization and an associate of applied science degree in information systems cybersecurity specialization. The new certificates include a gaming graphics and animation certificate, teacher assistant specialization, integrated circuit design and layout certificate, information systems cybersecurity specialization, catering management specialization, and a meetings and event management specialization.
