CCCCD Offers E-Media and Online Authoring Software Classes

Sept. 10, 2004--Save your company money by being your own textbook publisher!

"Macromedia Authorware: Learning Management Systems" lets you create rich, multimedia e-leaning applications for delivery on corporate networks, CD/DVDs or the Web. Templates and wizards streamline the production process by importing your PowerPoint and XML files directly into Authorware 7. The program also supports streaming audio, student tracking, captions and database sharing. Knowledge of PowerPoint, XML and JavaScript are required.

Adobe Framemaker helps you manage long documents with ease using master pages, automatic numbering and interactive cross-referencing tools. The class will teach you how to integrate content from multiple sources and how to make the finished product easily navigable. Files are then convertible to PDF, HTML and other formats.

"We often ask students what software skills they are needing," said Natalie Greenwell, program director. "These are examples of recent surveys. We understand the software choices out there are vast. Teaching you how to use and incorporate new tools into your business is what we are here for."
