CCCCD Schedules Teacher Certification Program Information Sessions


November 19, 2004 – Collin County Community College District gives notice to all potential teachers.

The district’s Teacher Certification Program will host two information sessions regarding a number of topics including application, cost, the 2005 schedule and area jobs. The session is free and open to the public.

The sessions are slated from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 4 and Saturday, Jan. 15, at CCCCD in Allen, 300 Rivercrest Boulevard.

According to CCCCD teacher certification advisor Jyo Pai, the session will give an overview of the program including alternative routes to teacher certification in Texas, certifications offered, the CCCCD application process, training provided in the program, training schedules, cost and information about teacher job opportunities in the Metroplex.

The sessions are identical and include a question-and-answer portion and an opportunity to schedule a transcript review or one-on-one counseling from Pai, who will present the program.

Also, application packets for the CCCCD Teacher Certification Program will be available.
