CCCCD Continuing Education Directs New Digital Video Course


December 6, 2004 -- The Collin County Community College District (CCCCD) Continuing Education Department is offering a new course in home movie making.

Digital Video – Getting Started is a 16-hour course, which will offer instruction and tips to downloading data on a digital camcorder to the desired medium – personal computers or a DVD. The eight-session course is slated from 7-9 p.m. Thursdays from Jan. 13-Feb. 3 at the CCCCD Courtyard Center, 4800 Preston Park Blvd. in Plano.

The course costs $139 and will include participants creating a simple movie project using WinXP MovieMaker2 software and learning how to add effects during post-production like music and performing basic editing.

According to Natalie Greenwell, CCCCD professional development program director of continuing education, the course is for dabblers wanting to learn more about digital movie making.
