Montessori Workshop Slated at Collin


MONTESSORI WORKSHOP SLATED AT CCCCD

February 19, 2005 – Teachers interested in the Montessori teaching method should mark their calendars for an upcoming workshop offered by Collin County Community College District (CCCCD) Continuing Education.

The one-day workshop, titled Montessori Spring Workshop – Meeting the Child’s Need, is set from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at the CCCCD Courtyard Center, 4800 E. Preston Park Blvd. in Plano. The event costs $89.

The workshop is created for pre-primary Montessori educators, home school directors and teacher. The sessions will include a number of speakers discussing current Montessori techniques and methods.

Montessori is a teaching method founded by 20th century educator Maria Montessori, who believed learning was vital in the pre-school and elementary years.
