Collin Hosts Renowned Museum Curator

COLLIN HOSTS RENOWNED MUSEUM CURATOR

March 1, 2005 – Anne Tucker, the nationally renowned curator of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, is coming to Collin County Community College District (Collin).

Tucker will present “Beauty is in the Feet of the Beholder” at 7 p.m., Monday, April 4, at the Spring Creek Campus Conference Center, room AA 135, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.  

The event is being hosted by Collin in partnership with Afterimage Gallery in Dallas. Following the lecture, a reception will be held in THE ARTS gallery, located on the Spring Creek Campus, at 8:30 p.m.

In conjunction with Tucker’s presentation, throughout the month of April, photography from Collin students and faculty will be on display in several area galleries, including the following:

    * Afterimage Gallery, The Quadrangle2828 Routh St. in Dallas – Collin photography professor Byrd Williams’ recent work; * THE ARTS gallery, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano - Collin County Historical Documentary 1989-2005. Images selected by Afterimage curator and owner Ben Breard;  and * 14th Street Gallery, 1412 14th Street in Plano - Plano Invitational Exhibition.
