COLLIN CONTINUING EDUCATION ADVANCES IN DIGITAL VIDEO

March 10, 2005 -- Collin County Community College District (“Collin”) Continuing Education wants to mold digital video amateurs into knowledgeable movie makers.

In Digital Video – Improving Skills, students will be taught a number of pre- and post-production skills involving digital video. The Spring 2005 course is scheduled from 7-9 p.m., Thursdays, beginning March 31, at the Courtyard Center, 4800 E. Preston Park Blvd. in Plano.

Students also will learn skills in pre-production such as lighting, angles and deciding on a theme for the video. The 16-hour course will utilize advanced computer software, Adobe Premiere Pro.

The pre-requisite for Digital Video – Improving Skills is Digital Video – Getting Started, which continuing education also offers this spring. Improving Skills builds on the skills learned in Getting Started by instructing students in post-production techniques such as adding titles, music and narration to video.
