Register for the April 9 Montessori Workshop at Collin

REGISTER FOR THE APRIL 9 MONTESSORI WORKSHOP AT COLLIN

March 26, 2005 – Teachers interested in the Montessori teaching method should register for a one-day workshop sponsored by Collin County Community College District (“Collin”) titled Montessori Spring Workshop – Meeting the Child’s Need. This workshop is set from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at the college’s Courtyard Center, 4800 E. Preston Park Blvd. in Plano. The event costs $89.

The workshop is created for pre-primary Montessori educators, home school directors and teacher. The sessions will include a number of speakers discussing current Montessori techniques and methods.

Montessori is a teaching method founded by 20th century educator Maria Montessori, who believed learning was vital in the pre-school and elementary years.
