Collin Announces Student Art Winners

COLLEGE ANNOUNCES STUDENT ART WINNERS

April 27, 2005 – The winners of the “Viewpoints” juried student art exhibition were announced at THE ARTS gallery.

The juror for the Collin County Community College District exhibition was Nancy Rebal, University of Dallas art professor.

The winners were Beverly Fetterman (Dallas), ceramics, Best of Show; Carole Martin (Allen), sculpture, Director’s Choice; Emily R. Brown (Murphy), 3D, first place; Morris Yanger (Rockwall), 3D, second place; Ryan Roberts (McKinney), 3D, third place; Chloe Collomp (Richardson), 2D, first place; Melissa Alarcon (Plano), 2D, second place; and Dominique Brown (Allen), 2D, third place.

The students’ pieces will be on display at THE ARTS gallery on the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano through Saturday, May 7.

Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.- 8 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
