May 3, 2005 - The Continuing Education and Workforce Development division at Collin County Community College District (Collin) has won five marketing awards from The Texas Administrators of Continuing Education for Community/Junior Colleges (TACE), a statewide organization dedicated to promoting continuing and workforce education. The awards were announced during the 2005 TACE Conference this month.

Collin won first place in five of nine categories: color brochure design, black and white flyer design, web page , web-based course schedule design/online registration tool, and the “something unique” category, which includes promotional items such as mugs, t-shirts, etc.

Accepting for the college were Janet Sheppard, director of Continuing Education, and Anita Wormald, director of the Business Solutions Group.

“It is an honor to be recognized by this statewide professional organization,” said Sheppard. “We are pleased that the newly re-designed CE website took first place honors.”

Wormald added, “The TACE review panel included advertising experts who judged our entries on visual appeal and expert content, so it is very gratifying to win.”
