Collin Hosts Dual Admissions College Representatives in August


July 27, 2005 - This August, Collin County Community College District (Collin) will host representatives from colleges and universities participating in the college’s dual admissions program.

Dual admission programs allow qualified Collin students the opportunity to complete their freshman and sophomore year requirements at the community college and then have automatic admission to complete their bachelor’s degree at the target university.

Collin broke ground in 2000 when it signed the first dual admission agreement in Texas with the University of North Texas. Agreements soon followed with The University of Texas at Dallas, Southern Methodist University, Texas Woman's University and Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Visiting colleges include the University of North Texas, Texas Woman’s University, The University of Texas at Dallas and Texas A&M Commerce. In addition to their campus visits, college representatives have scheduled office hours in the University Partners office in A229 at the Central Park Campus, 2200 W. University Drive in McKinney. Walk-ins are welcome.
