Collin Offers Engineering and Emerging Technologies Info Sessions
October 25, 2005 – Individuals with questions about high-tech career fields can seek answers at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 8.
The Collin County Community College District (Collin) Engineering and Emerging Technologies Division will hold an information session in Heritage Hall, room H141 at the Preston Ridge Campus, 9700 Wade Blvd. in Frisco.
Collin professors will be available to discuss the college’s newest programs including biomedical instrumentation, convergence technology, information systems, cybersecurity, and biomedical technology. Attendees can also learn about the college’s offerings in information technology, computer networking, telecommunication, computer-aided drafting and design, computer maintenance, interior and architectural design, engineering/electronics fields and engineering transfers to universities.

Collin serves more than 40,000 credit and continuing education students annually and offers more than 100 degree and certificate programs in a wide range of disciplines. In addition, Collin is a partner to business, government and industry, providing customized training and work force development. The college is one of only six instructor Cisco Academy Training Centers in the world. This center and the engineering and emerging technologies program are based at the Preston Ridge Campus in Frisco.
