Collin Hosts Biennial County Economic Summit
December 21, 2005 -- The 2006 Collin County Economic Summit, “Orchestrating Our Future,” is scheduled from 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 1, at the Collin County Community College Spring Creek Campus Conference Center, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. The luncheon keynote speaker for this year’s event is Angelos Angelou, the founder and CEO of Angelou Economics in Austin. Joseph C. Juarez, regional administrator of the Employment and Training Administration in Dallas, will serve as the afternoon keynote. Breakout sessions will include discussions on regionalism, the future of the workforce, compositions of aging communities, healthcare, transportation and much more. The 2006 Economic Summit is co-hosted by Collin County, Inside Collin County Business, Collin County Community College District and the Allen, Frisco, McKinney, Plano, Richardson and Rockwall chambers of commerce and economic development corporations.
